Monthly Spotless Service Saturdays
Growing from a collaboration with student volunteers from the University of South Carolina, Keep the Midlands Beautiful is proud to offer KMB-led cleanups on Saturday mornings known as “Spotless Service Saturdays.”

WHERE and WHEN
- Cleanup locations change for each event, allowing us to address areas with high litter accumulation.
- Locations and dates are listed below.
- All cleanups start at 9 a.m. and end no later than 12 noon (sooner when large groups remove litter faster).
WHO
- All individuals and groups are invited to participate.
- Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times!
- Typically 40 to 100 people participate.
- It’s a great way to earn community service hours, help your local community, and to make new friends.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Pre-registration is required. Register now on our Upcoming Events page.
- An email is sent to those who register with a waiver and event details a few days before the event.
- Upon check-in at 9 a.m. at or near the litter removal site, KMB will provide all supplies needed including trash bags, litter grabbers, safety vests, and gloves.
- Check-in is faster when you bring a signed waiver or email it prior to the cleanup.
- Everyone is assigned to a section or river or road upon arrival.
- Bags of litter are collected and disposed of by KMB’s event partners.
- Snacks and drinks are provided at check-out when supplies are returned.
WHAT TO WEAR
- Wear comfortable clothes.
- Long pants are best.
- Closed toe, closed heeled shoes are required.
- Rain boots are recommended for river cleanups.
