Monthly Spotless Service Saturdays<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>Growing from a collaboration with student volunteers from the University of South Carolina, Keep the Midlands Beautiful is proud to offer KMB-led cleanups on Saturday mornings known as\u00a0“Spotless Service Saturdays.”\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>![](\"https:\/\/keepthemidlandsbeautiful.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Screen-Shot-2025-01-29-at-10.40.13-AM.png\" "\\"Screen")
<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>WHERE and WHEN<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n- Cleanup locations change for each event, allowing us to address areas with high litter accumulation.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Locations and dates are listed below.<\/span><\/li>\n
- All cleanups start at 10 a.m. and end no later than 12 noon.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/h4>\nWHO<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n- All individuals and groups are invited to participate.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times!<\/span><\/li>\n
- Typically 40 to 100 people participate.<\/span><\/li>\n
- It’s a great way to earn community service hours, help your local community, and to make new friends.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/h4>\nWHAT TO EXPECT<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n- Pre-registration is required. Register below<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n
- An email is sent to those who register with a waiver and event details a few days before the event.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Upon check-in at 10 a.m. at or near the litter removal site, KMB will provide all supplies needed including trash bags, litter grabbers, safety vests, and gloves.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Check-in is faster when you bring a signed waiver or email it prior to the cleanup.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Everyone is assigned to a section or river or road upon arrival.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Bags of litter are collected and disposed of by KMB’s event partners.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Snacks and drinks are provided at check-out when supplies are returned.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/h4>\nWHAT TO WEAR<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n- Wear comfortable clothes.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Long pants are best.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Closed toe, closed heeled shoes are required.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Rain boots are recommended for river cleanups in Irmo.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

<\/h4>\nWAIVERS<\/strong><\/h4>\nALL participants are required to provide a waiver before participating.
